The process of having a custom model built is simple.
Your journey to a one-of-a-kind model begins with selecting the subject that holds personal significance. Whether it's an iconic aircraft like the B-17 your grandfather flew during WWII, or another historic piece, we locate the perfect kit for the project, which you purchase and send directly to the Cathedral of Model Building.
Built by Rick Schad The Pope of Plastic, one of the world’s foremost plastic model builders, his process goes beyond the ordinary. We ask you to provide personal photographs, stories, and any historical context, ensuring we craft not just a model, but a lasting tribute infused with meaning and accuracy.
Every detail is painstakingly researched and assembled, with regular photo updates sent to you throughout the process, keeping you involved every step of the way.
For an even more interactive experience, we offer live TikTok streams where you can watch The Pope of Plastic in action as your model comes to life, ask questions, and witness the expert craftsmanship in real-time.
Depending on the complexity and scale, models take anywhere from 25 to 100 hours to complete. A 50% deposit, along with the cost of the kit, is required to begin, ensuring a seamless and dedicated process.
Upon completion, your custom model can be shipped anywhere in the world or picked up in person, giving you the flexibility to receive this handcrafted masterpiece.
